Leaving on a Jetplane...

So the Lincoln Day dinner last night definitely was not in a log cabin otherwise my heels would have gotten stuck between the logs. Had a great time, did some terrific networking and definitely needed a nap after that.

Leaving on a jet plane for Florida. “Ahhh…” you’ll all say and I say “I have too many things to do here on Staten Island!” but it’s a mandatory Cartus Conference so I’ll have to rough it, and enjoy the wonderful Orlando weather, don’t you feel bad for me?…. Comment as you please.

Goolashes

Finally got to use them. Went to drop off the car at Villa Marin for Frank, did an engineer inspection on Drake Avenue, all went well, came back to the office and presented 2 offers, then getting ready for the Lincoln Day Republican Dinner at the Hilton. I’ll show you those shoes tomorrow. Comment as you please.

Dancing Fools

Of course, I did not wear these shoes all day showing houses. But I did wear them to a wonderful event at Snug Harbor Great Hall. The music was phenomenal, by the Brooklyn Horns, and as an added bonus, we got to dance to the music from The Rascals as Gene Cornish, the lead guitarist and singer, was just amazing. These shoes made by Guess and purchased at Macy’s great shoe sale, were comfortable because I danced for 4 hours straight, won three baskets, got my picture taken with Gene, and supported a great cause known as The Art Lab which was run by Diane Gattullo. What a great time, a great cause, and wonderful people. Comment as you please.

Leopard Dockers

Believe this or not, this is going to sound like a DSW commercial but it isn’t. One day, after coming from a follow up from my cancer specialist in Manhattan, I was standing on the corner at Union Square waiting to cross the street to go to Filene’s Basement (so sad its gone now) when I looked down and I saw a woman wearing these shoes. No I didn’t steal them right off of her feet but I did go up to her and ask “Where did you get those shoes?!” She answered, “DSW.” I immediately headed to DSW right around the corner and started the hunt to no avail. I sought out a sales person, who had to get a manager to find out that we had to special order the shoes. Now, three weeks later as the post man delivered a box from DSW, I have the shoes. Where have they taken me? Probably Macy’s to the shoe department to buy more shoes on sale. These shoes have taken me today to showings on properties for my buyer prospects, have taken me out to lunch with Leah Platus from Wells Fargo, a listing appointment, another showing, and ultimately basket making at 1958 Victory Boulevard for the FJR Family Foundation Dinner on May 2nd, please join us in helping to “Protect One Young Heart at a Time” http://www.frankjrealiiiifamilyfoundation.org/. Zebra Flats

Can you believe I’m wearing flat, tie shoes? But of course they have the Safari theme, cant step away from that! This Good Friday is a busy morning and a quiet afternoon. Wishing all of my friends out there a happy Passover and a blessed Easter. Comment as you please.

The High Heeled Sneaker

After a day like yesterday, my feet desperately screamed for a pair of sneakers! But being the “professional” that I am what else would I wear but high heeled sneakers? Bouncing around on this Holy Thursday, making lots of phone calls, out taking photos of some new listings, showing a few homes and then off to the Staten Island Business People networking group at Puglia’s By the Sea. It seems light by comparison. Comment as you please.

The Working Shoe

Yesterday these shoes started out at 7AM at Lorenzo’s at the Hilton Garden Inn for breakfast with my SI business council buddies, passed a bunch of referrals around to do more business. If you’ve been thinking about a way to expand your business, give me a call at 442-5200. Dropped off a prayer shawl for Debbie Arrigo’s family, picked up mom, went to the Grandmother’s Club at the Staaten and with 12 grandchildren I have the right to be there, won an Easter bunny (Shucks, not chocolate!), went to an electrical inspection, did a re-show on a great house in Oakwood, went to a Soroptimist meeting at the Staaten (on the first Wednesday of every month it feels like I live at the Staaten), and then went to the College of SI High School where I spoke in front of a group of people about the Frank J. Reali III Family Foundation and how many children we have been able to screen for heart issues free of charge. If you’d like to help us “Protect One Young Heart at a Time” call us at 718-420-2331. Boy, are my shoes tired. Comment as you please.
